Golden Heart Turmeric Drink

Golden milk, made from turmeric, is an old ayurvedic remedy, calming for the mind and healing for the body.

 

Many studies prove turmeric to have major benefits for body and brain. Curcumin, the main active ingredient in turmeric, is a strong anti-inflammatory compound and it dramatically increases the antioxidant capacity of the body. It is thought to lower the risk of heart disease; helps prevent, and may even treat cancer, arthritis and depression.

It is also linked to improved brain function and lower risk of brain diseases including alzheimers disease. Good for relieving flu, mestrual pains, headaches, stomach bloating. It is even used to treat leprosy!

 

Curcumin however absorbs poorly in the blood. Thus to make Golden Heart Turmeric drink, we heat turmeric with pepper and oil that makes the curcumin much more bioavailable and yummy!!

 

Just mix a teaspoon of Golden Heart Turmeric drink paste into a  cup of milk (we prefer rice milk), heat it, and you are good to go.
